Welcome to our 4th grade class!
My name is Laura Viss and I am a passionate, student-centered educator with 20 years of classroom experience. I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 7th grades. I create warm, inclusive classrooms that spark curiosity and build critical thinking skills. I design standards-aligned lessons, use ongoing formative assessment to guide instruction, and differentiate to meet each learner’s needs. I prioritize clear communication and strong partnerships with students, families, and colleagues. I also integrate technology and hands-on strategies to make learning engaging and relevant. I am committed to continuous growth and to ensuring every student feels supported and challenged.
