Mrs. Lucas' 6th Grade

I believe every child has unique strengths and the ability to grow, both academically and personally. Each year, I look forward to building strong relationships with my students and supporting them as they develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning. I have high expectations for my sixth graders because I know they are capable of rising to challenges, thinking critically, and accomplishing great things. My goal is to help students become confident, independent learners who are well prepared for middle school and beyond.

This is my fifth year teaching in Ripon. I spent my first two years teaching 3rd grade and have taught 6th grade for the past three years. Before coming to Ripon, I also gained experience teaching both 4th and 5th grade. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in History and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I look forward to partnering with students and families to make this a meaningful, engaging, and successful school year!
