Welcome to February!
February is here, and with it comes a fresh opportunity for growth, learning, and character building! This month, we are focusing on the powerful traits of Perseverance and Grit.
🌟 Character Focus: Perseverance & Grit
Throughout the month, students will be learning what it means to:
- Keep trying, even when something feels challenging
- Set goals and work steadily toward them
- Learn from mistakes instead of giving up
- Stay positive when faced with obstacles
Teachers will incorporate discussions, classroom activities, and real-life examples that help students understand how perseverance and grit can help them succeed in school and beyond.
You can support this learning at home by:
- Encouraging your child to finish tasks they start
- Talking about a time you had to work hard to reach a goal
- Celebrating effort—not just results

Family Math Night at Ripon Elementary!
Students and their families had a lot of fun playing math games. Some students won prizes and each student got to take home a goody bag that included a math game. A BIG thank you to our 8th grade students who volunteered to play math games with students. Another BIG thank you to Ms. Kissee and our family math night committee who helped make the night possible.

A Note on Attendance
🎯 Attendance Matters!
Our school-wide attendance goal is 97% — and we need your partnership to reach it!
Daily attendance is essential for:
- Academic growth and skill development
- Building positive relationships with teachers and peers
- Staying on track with lessons and assignments
- Developing responsibility and strong habits
Even missing a few days each month can add up and impact learning. Whenever possible, please schedule appointments outside of school hours and ensure your child arrives on time each day.
If your family needs support with attendance, please contact the school office — we are here to help!
Let’s work together to make every day count!
